I was browsing Amazon the other day when I stumbled upon a new section - Amazon Handmade! Amazon Handmade is similar to Etsy in that items are created and posted by individual artisans, but since this is Amazon, quite a few of the items are also eligible for Prime shipping (score!). There are so many great products ranging from beauty to wedding supplies to handmade cards and stationary, but what I was most excited about was the baby + toddler items.

How I Shop on Amazon Handmade
Just like the rest of the site, Amazon Handmade has item categories, daily deals, and themed sections for holidays or their most “liked” items from the Amazon Handmade Instagram account. When you’re looking at toys or toddler clothes, you can refine your search by selecting a sub-category, selection sizes, materials, Prime eligibility, price, rating, and location! Many of the items can be customized and it will give you suggested times for production and delivery, which can be especially important during the holidays!
As with a lot of my Amazon purchases - especially for clothing - I’ll check the reviews to get an idea about the sizing + quality for each item. Since Amazon Handmade is a newer section on their website, some items are lacking reviews, but that should change before too long! If you see an item that you like but it isn’t exactly what you want, there’s an option to contact the seller to request a custom order.
My Favorite Finds
Amazon is constantly changing and updating its stock of items, so it’s nice that the Handmade section is maintained + managed by the artisans themselves! Most of the accounts specialize in one or two things, so while their styles and trends may evolve, the type of product they sell will stay the same.

One | Personalized Bank | I love that the front of the bank is clear so that you can see the savings add up! The shadow box comes in your choice of black or white with eight different color choices for the name on front!
Two | Wooden Colorblock Rattle | I've been a fan of BannorToys for a while, so I was thrilled when I saw that their items are available on Amazon Handmade! I love the simple and sophisticated style of these rattles. These would make a great shower gift!
Three | Felt Shapes Book | Take sensory exploration to the next level with this felt book. The vibrant colors are eye catching and the variety of shapes will keep your little reader interested. A book like this is great to incorporate in to tummy time to keep little hands busy!
Four | Wooden Shape Sorter | Another favorite from BannorToys! This wooden shape sorter is perfect for toddlers and comes with eight shapes that are sorted through four openings. All of the shapes are made from solid wood and you can personalize the box with a name under ten characters - try initials if the name is too long!
Five | Weighted Sensory Blanket | Weighted blankets are awesome for providing a little extra comfort and make the perfect addition to any nap or movie night. You can customize the size and colors for these blankets and they are machine washable.
Six | Woven Baby Swing | We have one of these macramé style swings and both Brody and Isla LOVE it! These are designed to function indoors and outdoors, but if you're going to use it outside, make sure it's protected when it rains.
Seven | Wooden Activity Gym | I love these wooden activity gyms as an alternative to a plastic option. All of the pieces that are attached to the gym double as rattles and teethers and are a great way to engage your baby from the early days. It's easy to fold and store and requires minimal assembly.
Eight | Personalized Mini Blanket | This sweet unicorn is the perfect blend between a lovey and a blanket and are great for daycare since you can add a name! The plush fabric is made from natural cotton and don't have any small parts, so it's safe for babies + toddlers.
Nine | Personalized Name Bracelet | I love how delicate this bracelet is and that you can personalize both the front and the back. These make adorable shower or baptism gifts and there is a very quick turnaround time - perfect when you need a gift in a pinch!
