A Peek Inside the Newly Updated Chuck E. Cheese's
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Chuck E. Cheese's . The opinions and text are all mine.
There are things that will always remind me of my childhood—Chuck E. Cheese's is one of them. I remember it being such a treat to go to Chuck E. Cheese's as a kid. Playing games, collecting tickets, the pizza, the fun—one of the most nostalgic places of childhood.
It has been on my bucket list to take Brody for a visit for quite some time. When the team at Chuck E. Cheese's reached out about the remodeling they had just finished to their Greenville flagship restaurant (and other locations across the country), I had to check it out.
At 3.5 years old, Brody is at the perfect age where I knew he would be so excited about the magic of Chuck E. Cheese's. And to say he was excited would be putting it lightly. I told him the morning of that we would be heading to check out Chuck E. Cheese's and he was so excited he couldn't even take a nap.
When we pulled into the parking lot I was surprised by the more modern exterior and logo. We were all thrilled to head inside. What I had once thought of as purely a kid place has evolved into a true family hangout. Equal thought was given to mom's + dad's as to the kiddos. We were mega impressed.
Chuck E. Cheese's new interior and exteriors:
The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how calming it felt. It felt modern and relaxing—like somewhere I would like to stay for a while.
The layout was well thought out—even down to the details. We sat down at one of the wooden booths and I immediately noticed the convenient wall plugs. Whether you want to charge your phone so you can take more pictures or plug in your computer and get a little work finished, it's easy to do.
And can we talk about the new dance floor? Ahh-mazing! The lights on the dance floor follow where you step. We all had fun running around and watching the colored lights chase us.
There was even a little kiddie section that was perfect for Isla. At 1.5 years old, I always assumed she was too young to enjoy a place like this. Boy was I wrong! She had as much fun as all of us watching the characters roam around and riding the little kiddie rides.
Updated gaming:
My favorite part of Chuck E. Cheese's has always been the games. Oh how much fun I would have collecting tickets to exchange for little candies or gizmos. With all of the updates, I love that they still kept this core of Chuck E. Cheese's the same. They swapped out the tokens for reloadable cards. This was an awesome change because you can now add a certain amount of time to the card for unlimited play vs paying per game. With the technology of the reloadable cards, you still earn physical tickets. There's just something so thrilling about collecting handfuls of tickets and feeding them to the ticket machine. With the renovations, a lot of fun games were also added to the game floor. Our favorite new game was the High Fives game.
The food:
The kitchen was redesigned to be more visible so you can see your pizza being made. They even serve beer and wine now in limited quantities! We ordered a pizza and I loved that they double cut some of the slices so they were the perfect size for Brody and Isla. The pizza is made from scratch and it was delicious! I can't wait to check out their lunch buffet next.
Our evening at Chuck E. Cheese's was one for the memory books. I was truly impressed with the renovations and the thought that went into the updates. We all can't wait to go back!
Do you have memories of Chuck E. Cheese's as a kid? Have you brought your little ones recently?
