The Momma Society Virtual Happy Hour

So many parts of motherhood have come as a surprise to me. Sure, I expected the sporadic nights of sleep, the poopy diapers, and the joy that Brody would bring into our lives. What I didn't expect was the loneliness of motherhood. Prior to Brody, I worked primarily from home and when I found out I was expecting, I was ecstatic--I'll have company by my side 24/7 (so I thought)!

Little did I know, motherhood would make me lonelier than ever before. When my husband would head to work, I'd repeat the daily routines day-after-day. I craved adult interaction. I craved conversations with momma's. I craved to have one of those "tribes" that I always heard mothers talk about.

On days when I had no one to share my questions on parenting and accomplishments in motherhood with--I had you. I had the beautiful Momma Society Instagram Community. I can't even tell you how many times you all have made me cry tears of relief, or how many times you've cheered me up and shared your stories helping me realize that I am not alone in this beautiful journey.

There have been so many times where I've just wished I could sit down with some of you over some fancy cheese and a glass of wine and laugh until we cried about the humorous moments of motherhood. Staying late comparing notes on what our little ones are up to. Sharing the cool new products that our making our life easier. Dreaming about our futures as moms and supporting each other each step of the way.

So I'm dedicating September to friendship. To letting go of the guards I put up and embracing new friends. We're all awkward. We're all uneasy about approaching other people. But we're all moms and we're all in this together.

I want to meet you. I want to get to know you. I want to share in your motherhood journey. Let's do it. The first ever Momma Society Virtual Happy Hour is happening. Maybe I'll be the only one that shows up, maybe ten moms will show up. If you're feeling lonely. If you're craving a momma tribe. If you just want an hour where you aren't talking in baby talk, I hope you'll join.

RSVP below. Grab a drink, have a seat on your comfy couch and let's spend an hour sharing funny stories and learning about each other. don't worry about make-up or having to get dressed (you can keep your camera off and join in with your keyboard).

Let's have fun in September. Let's build our village and make some new friends. I can't wait to "meet" you.
