The Best of Amazon Fall Shoes
Temperatures are finally cooling down in Greenville and I’m rotating sandals out for warmer, fall footwear. As usual, I stalked Amazon to see what they have this year and I was really impressed with the variety of options, especially for pre-walkers and crib shoes. This year, there were several trendy options but I threw in a good mix of classic pieces too, since those will transition the best for hand-me-downs.
How I shop for kids shoes on Amazon
My biggest piece of advice for Amazon shopping no matter the category is this: read the reviews, they don’t lie! My favorite reviews have photos of the product IRL and most reviewers are happy to give you the gritty details, whether they’re pleased or disappointed in the purchase.
After you’ve checked the reviews, make sure you look at the sizing, too. I like to check the actual measurements against products I already own to make sure I’m getting something comparable. If you’re between sizes, I’ll usually order more than one to get the best fit. If one of them is too big, you can always hold onto it so you already have the bigger size on hand, which can be a lifesaver if your kiddo decides this is the only shoe they’ll wear for the rest of the year.
And finally, pay attention to the materials. I generally opt for leather and sturdy foam when I can, because those materials tend to last longer. I also like to pass shoes + clothes down from one kid to the next, so it’s great to find something that will work for more than one of them.
There are some great gender neutral options on here (especially the Doc Marten dupes and the soft-sole buckle shoes), and the colors will transition well from fall through spring.
