Our Nursery Reading Nook

One of my favorite childhood memories was reading books with my mom. Whether before bedtime or at random moments throughout the day, I loved getting lost in the imaginative world of children's books. I am looking forward to spending similar moments with my little one when he or she arrives.

When we first started planning the nursery, we knew having a reading corner would be a must. A cozy little spot to cuddle up and read a bedtime story.

I went back and fourth between wanting to use simple, white picture shelves (like these at Ikea) or going with something more modern. When I came across these clear lucite display shelves, I knew they would be perfect.

The 30" shelves were just the right size for our little corner. Installing the shelves was simple. We added anchors to the wall and simply drilled in screws to the two pre-made holes.

I can't wait to rotate books through the shelves with each new season that approaches. Looking forward to the memories this little corner creates.

Do you have a special reading corner in your home? What is your favorite book to read to your little ones?

PS: The winner of the Sarah Sample autographed CD giveaway is Heather D. Congratulations!
