A Modern Mom's Guide to Fall Fashion: Toddler and Baby Girl Edition

Not to be overshadowed by big brother's fall fashion update, I've pulled together my favorite looks for Isla this fall. From miniature coats to corduroy rompers, it is safe to say Isla’s closet is quickly filling up. Today I am sharing some of my favorite trends and unique pieces from the season, many of which you will be seeing on Isla in the coming months.

Some of my favorite pieces are from a new line I recently discovered called Hope & Henry. Their pieces remind me so much of Janie & Jack, but more affordable and great quality! This trendy little cape is one of the pieces I ordered for Isla and I cannot get over how chic she looks wearing it. I also ordered this quilted jacket (it reminds me of the classic Burberry jackets without the price tag). Next in my cart? A little equestrian inspired dress!

A few of my favorite Baby & Toddler Clothing Trends for Fall:

Burgandy | Most of the year you will find me leaning towards pastel colors, but come Fall, I am all about deep hues. Burgundy is my favorite this year and this little corduroy rompers may be one of the reasons why I love the color so much. It has already been on heavy repeat in our house. Styling it with a simple, white Peter Pan collared shirt underneath is a darling look.

Cable Knit | Nothing screams Fall like a cozy Cable Knit and in miniature form, it is even sweeter. The cable knit detail on this cape, paired with riding pants has me ready for the leaves to start changing colors. My favorite headbands for Isla also come in cable knit prints this time of year.

Knee Socks | Perhaps it is my love of chunky baby thighs, but the sight of babies and toddlers in knee socks gives me major heart eyes. This knee sock set has a sweet ruffle detail along the top. Pair them with these cute rose linen bloomers or fun shoes (these are my favorite shoes for Fall).

one: Hope & Henry | Riding Pants | I absolutely love these pants! It's a classic look that can transition from fall to winter and even to cooler spring days. There are a few color options, too!

two: Baby Bling | Bow Headband | I love red for fall and this headband is the perfect pop of color. The material is light enough to wear all day, and it's super soft so it won't hurt your little one's head.

three: Hope & Henry | Sweater Cape | This cape is so darling and it goes with everything! Anything that I can put on Isla with minimal effort is a win in my book.

four: Mini Boden | Woven Top | I love this twist on a classic white blouse. I love this one tucked in to an overall dress or worn with leggings and boots.

five: Alva Edison | Knit Socks | I used to wear socks just like these when I was little, so I love that I can get something similar for Isla. Pair these with a sweet dress and mary jane shoes for a polished, precious look.

six: Amazon | Wool Gloves | Our first fall in South Carolina calls for cozy gloves! Even if you live somewhere warmer, babies and toddlers need extra protection for their hands and feet in the cooler months, so make sure you have a pair of gloves on hand. (On hand - get it?!)

seven: Piper Finn I love this shoe - all the comfort of a moccasin but with the look of an oxford. The print is so cute, but muted so these shoes will go with any outfit.

eight: H&M Corduroy Dress | This dress is all about understated details - the ruffle around the collar and the buttons down the back are a winning combination. I love warmer fabrics for fall and corduroy is the perfect combination of warmth and comfort.

nine: Amazon | Faux Fur Vest | This vest is fake fur, but real cute. This is a perfect piece for layering over light dresses and shirts in those early fall days.

ten: Janie and Jack | Riding Boots | Nothing says fall to me more than riding boots. I love the quilted detailing and straps - these are totally splurge worthy and will go with everything!

eleven: H&M | Flounce Dress | Usually I stick to flors in spring (I know, so original) but I love the roses on this dress! The colors are vibrant without being over the top, and this would look so cute with a pair of burgandy tights.

twelve: H&M | Cardigan | Another piece that's perfect for layering! The grey color is so versitile and the polka dots make it stand out from the average sweater.

thirteen: Etsy | Bloomers | Is there anything cuter than a pair of bloomers under a dress? The dusty rose color is so feminine but doesn't stand out like a brigh pink would. I love using bloomers as a pop of color with a dress.

fourteen: H&M | Knit Pom Pom Hat | This hat comes in three colors, but I absolutely love the burgandy option. The pom pom on top is so playful and perfect for a little girl's fall wardrobe.

fifteen: H&M | Fine Knit Flounce Dress | This dress is beyond precious and the fine knit texture makes it super soft. I love the flair that the ruffle adds - do you think this comes in an adult size? Pair with a pair of bright tights and flats!

sixteen: Old Navy | Apron Front Bubble Romper | I am DYING over how cute this little corduroy number is! It's perfect for those early fall days before it gets too cold out.

seventeen: Kate Spade | Field Jacket | This structured number is going to be a staple in Isla's closet this year! The color is perfect for fall and the ruffle detail and large buttons add just the right touch of flair.

eighteen: Baby Bling | Bun Headband | If there's one thing that the designers of children's clothing have figured out, it's how to make pieces that are cute AND functional. I love this headband for fall because it provides a little extra warmth over the ears without the bulk of a hat.

I am craving pumpkin everything and so excited for the temperatures to start cooling down! What are your favorite trends this Fall?
