The Best (+ Worst) of Girls Swimsuits

As you may know, our family tries to make it out to the beach at least once a year and I like to grab a few new suits for the kiddos each year. Since I’ve saved some of Brody’s swimsuits, I was already ahead for Luca so I wanted to get a jump on finding suits for Isla. She has definitely grown since last summer and her old swimsuits were getting snug!

Kids sizes can be totally wonky, so I like to order suits way in advance in case I need to make any exchanges or returns. This year I tried to diversify and order a couple of suits from each of our usual spots to compare quality, sizing, and fit. I was surprised by a few of these (and unpleasantly surprised by a few others), so I wanted to share all of our hits and misses with you before you start ordering swimwear this year.

Snag these precious heart sunnies here.

One // Mini Boden // This option is a little pricier, but it's too cute to not include. It comes in another two color options and there's also a long-sleeve rash guard option in the same pattern.

Two // H&M // I love the color and ruffle detail on this suit. It's a great price point and the fabric feels quality.

Three // Hope & Henry // Another fabulous find from Hope & Henry. It’s great quality and comes in three color options.

Four // Amazon // This one was a doozy! The print and look of the suit is really cute, but it arrived with some yellowed edges and the sizing was a bit wonky. It’s pretty inexpensive, so I may have just received a bad one from the bunch.

Five // Amazon // The fit is true to size and it comes in three color options. I don't love the bow, but you could easily remove it if you wanted.

Six // Walmart // For the price, this is decent quality and I love the print. The ruffle detail is super cute, too.

Seven // Walmart // Y'all don't sleep on Walmart! They have super fun kids suits and of course the price is unbeatable. This suit also has a little flamingo on the front and it's such a fun choice for warmer weather.

Eight // Old Navy // A berry cute option that's perfect for kiddos who are still in swim diapers. There's a ruffle detail on the back and snaps in the crotch area, making diaper changes a breeze.

Nine // Hope & Henry // This is a great option for full coverage and I love that it even covers the neck. Pair it with a sun hat and your little is fully covered for fun in the sun.

Ten // Amazon // This is such a cute option for full coverage and the zipper makes diaper changes much easier.

Eleven // Rufflebutts // Rufflebutts is ALWAYS a win and I love that the their suits have SPF built into the fabric.

BONUS // Hanna Anderson // When life gives you lemons, put on a swim suit and enjoy the lemonade! This precious suit comes in four pattern options and has SPF built in.
