Documenting My Favorite Weekend Tradition

The best purchase we made this year was a king-sized bed. It has become our hangout spot during early mornings with two little ones. It has become our wind down spot where the kids change into their pajamas. And on Sunday mornings, it has become our donut spot--our favorite weekend tradition.
While JD and I would prefer to sleep in on Sunday mornings, Brody and Isla always seem to have other plans. Their weekend plans inevitably involve rising before the sun. We have finally started to embrace this phase of life by making our early Sunday mornings something special—a slow paced morning lounging in bed.
We have been rocking our cozy loungewear from Boody on our slow Sunday mornings. They make some of the softest clothing around. You have probably seen me talk about the Boody Baby Onesie Sleepers on Instagram that Isla has been living in. I am obsessed with the double zipper style, making it easy to dress her and change her diaper in the middle of the night. The packaging and branding is major eye candy as well. They are made from Bamboo viscose, so they are smooth as butter.

We all pile into bed in our cozy pajamas. We bring up a tray of donuts and Brody brings a stack of his favorite books. We lay and chat and read for what seems like hours. While most mornings of the week are the opposite of relaxing, our slow Sunday mornings are a welcomed treat. This week we decided to document it. These little moments of life at home are ones I will forever cherish.
Isla’s little Boody Baby sleepers are so comfy that their clothing has become a staple in JD and I’s closet as well. JD loves the t-shirts and I have been living in their leggings (they’re awesome for traveling). There is just something about a cozy morning in bed that makes for a refreshing start to the week ahead.
What are your weekend traditions? How do you embrace early mornings with little ones?
