A Day In The Life of Linda Parra
I first came across momma, Linda Parra, when her sweet daughter Elle was just a baby. It was during one of those Instagram stalking sessions where you're suddenly on your brother's-sister's-mother's-cousin's -best friend from kindergarten's page and you just can't stop scrolling through their feed. The super stylish mother/daughter duo has inspired tots across the globe to dress more fashionably. Balancing life as a Dentist, a thriving toddler boutique called House of Posh, and a Vogue-worthy Instagram account of inspiration, this momma excels at it all. We are thrilled to share a peek into Linda's day as she balances her busy life--with a hefty dose of grace and style!
By The Numbers
The Daily Grind
4:30 am Alarm goes off. I hit snooze and talk myself into getting up and going to my 5:30 Crossfit class because if I don't it will throw off my whole afternoon. I listen to my own advice & get up.
6:45 am Back from Crossfit and preheat the oven to make breakfast cupcakes (ham/egg/veggies/cheese). Jump in the shower with a shower cap (not washing my hair/dry shampoo is my best friend).
7:00 am Elle wakes up and I cover her with kisses as I put on Disney Jr while I get dressed and put my makeup on (10 minute routine consisting of tinted moisturizer/mascara/light eyeshadow/lip balm).
7:30 am Make a quick green smoothie to go with the breakfast cupcakes served on a disposable plate to my husband as he leaves to work along with his "adult gummy vitamin" (he swears he can't swallow actual vitamins, I like to call him my oldest child lol). Throw a whole chicken in the crock-pot with potatoes herbs & spices.
7:45 am Get Elle dressed for preschool so she can get there before 8:20 and can have breakfast there, but before we leave I snap a quick picture of her for Instagram. She drinks her smoothie on the way there as we sing "Old McDonald".
8:10 am Stop by House of Posh Tots and check on an order and my social media accounts then drive to the Dental office.
9:00 am Dental office staff meeting (playing the role of the bad guy while my husband plays Mr. Nice guy even though all the complaints are his own).
12:30 pm Leave the office and go back to House of Posh Tots. Go over emails and new inventory, update the website. I eat of lunch of leftover salmon & veggies from the night before. I have a call from an angry customer that's complaining about an order consisting of a dress our store doesn't even carry. I assure her in the nicest way possible that she's completely confused. She hangs up on me. I brush it off.
3:00 pm The best part of my day, pick up Elle, bank and post office run for the dental office and store. Stop by Sam's Club to buy supplies for both businesses.
5:00 pm Get home finally and turn off crock pot and get Elle a snack of apples & almond butter, unload dishwasher.
5:30 pm Husband gets home and we chat and play with Elle, read a story (If You Give a Mouse a Cookie).
6:00 pm Husband leaves to Crossfit and I take a moment to cuddle with Elle and watch "Sofia the First".
6:30 pm Serve Elle dinner, she asked for chicken nuggets I tell her hair will grow of she eats what I served her (she's all about Rumpunzel's mane these days). She eats it! I open packages and write thank you cards while she finishes up.
7:00 pm Try to put her in the bath, she refused I put her in my shower and join her and wash my hair.
7:40 pm Husband gets home from Crossfit, serve him dinner and join him. He plays with Elle then a good night kiss and I put her to bed at 8:30.
8:45 pm Elle's out and I put in a load of laundry and I get our clothing out for the next day. I photograph Elle's outfit for Instagram and be sure to tag all the sweet shops that send her pieces.
9:00 pm Prep the egg mixture the tomorrow's breakfast (big surprise). Clean up kitchen, load up dishwasher and pack up left overs for tomorrow's lunch.
9:30 pm I'm exhausted, wash my face brush my teeth, check my social media accounts and say my prayer. I also do a little happiness inventory so that I never forget to be grateful for the wonderful hectic life I've been so blessed to have!
