The Best of Amazon Baby + Toddler Swimwear
In an attempt to will us into warmer weather, I’ve started swimsuit shopping for Brody + Isla and it’s making me so excited for summer! I like to stock up on suits for the kids in the off season and usually find some great deals. I’m sharing all of my favorite finds for this year and score, they are all on Amazon. Most of these suits come in a huge size range - from infants up to big kids - so you can mix and match for the whole family. Bonus - there’s a brand that has matching trunks for boys and dads and the sweetest mommy-and-me set on this list!
Tips for Purchasing Kids’ Suits
Like all clothing that we buy for our babies, they grow out of everything so fast. Luckily, swimsuits are really a seasonal thing so you only need them to last three to four months. I always read the product reviews, especially when I’m buying from Amazon. Whenever I’m browsing for suits, I like to keep these things in mind:
Size up in the bottom | While it is assumed that babies and toddlers will be wearing diapers, sometimes their clothing doesn’t always reflect that! If the bottoms look tight, make sure you go up a size to account for swim diapers.
Keep it simple | Lots of bells and whistles - or detachable bows and tight straps - might be cute online but a total nightmare on your toddler. Keep them comfortable and your patience in tact by opting for an option that has everything sewn on or wider straps for maximum comfort.
SPF? You bet | I love that you can find rash guards and swimwear that already has SPF incorporated into the fabric. That extra layer of protection will help keep your babies from burning while they’re enjoying the water and give you extra peace of mind.
Snap, zip and pop | If you’re buying swimwear for an infant, keep your eye out for suits that have zippers and snaps. Not only do these options make getting dressed and undressed much easier, but they also keep you from having to strip your wiggle worm down for every diaper change. Although, who doesn’t love a naked baby at the beach?
